I haven't had time to post anything and I got scolded. So, here's a quick picture for now. I'll try to post more this week.

Buy two, get one free?
Brendan spent most of last week sick. Aside from the fact that he had a fever, you never would’ve known. He stayed home sick all week. On Thursday I took him into the doctor because if you have a fever for four days, there has to be something wrong with you. They checked him out and his ears were pink. It was the start of an ear infection. So, we got him some meds and moved on with life.
I got ready for work Friday and was on my way out the door. Brendan woke up so I went in to give him his medicine. He literally had NO voice and was really warm. I gave him some ibuprofen for his fever and he couldn’t even swallow it. Poor kid. I changed plans and stayed home with him again. I got some liquid ibuprofen and he was feeling better, but not as perky as he had been all week long. He wanted to play outside for a bit so he did. He came in and ASKED to take a nap. He took his nap and when he got up he was breathing like he had just run a mile. As soon as Jeremy got home, we headed to Urgent Care to have it checked out.
When we got to Urgent Care they tried to check his oxygen level and he was not having it. The harder they tried, the harder he fought. By the time they got a reading they moved us from Urgent Care to the ER. We had a doctor and five nurses swarming us in the blink of an eye. They called in the anesthesiologist because he was having such a hard time breathing that they thought they may have to intibate him. He ended up getting multiple nebulizer treatments, an IV, and chest x-rays while they worked to figure out what the problem was. The nebulizers did the trick and his breathing got better. They thought maybe he had pneumonia, but his lungs were clear. They thought maybe an allergic reaction to his meds. They said both RSV and Croup are going around. In the end, he had croup. It bought him a night in the hospital. Apparently, Brendan enjoyed his one on one time last weekend so much that he decided to take it to the next level. He was pretty exhausted a slept almost the whole time. When he did wake up he was NOT happy. He had to be monitored and he repeatedly ripped off the leads. He had an IV and the splinted his arm so he couldn’t bend it. He could slip that off. When he did keep all the wires attached properly, he would toss and turn and wrap himself up in the cords. He needed to be cuddled the entire time we were at the hospital. We had to switch off every now and then.
Our regular doctor came in and said his oxygen level had been at 100% thru the night so there was no reason for us to stay. She set us free. He was pretty groggy on the way home and dozed off and on, but once he was home he bounced right back. He wanted to go for a walk in the woods, read books, color. He did anything and everything he could think of to continue the one on one attention.
By Sunday, he was feeling “fantastic”, in his words. By Sunday night he had his voice back. Now he’s back to 100%. It’s a good thing I took him in, but I don’t think it would’ve ever escalated to that if I had stayed home. He got himself so worked up that just made the breathing way worse.
We’re wondering if hospitals run deals? Two stays, get one free? I’m hoping we’re done with hospitals now.

Eight Months
Happy St. Patrick's Day! Owen is 8 mos old today. He's growing like a weed, well tall anyway. He's tall and skinny. He is starting physical therapy, in addition to Birth to 3, next week in Reedsburg. We went to see a Developmental Pediatrician last week and she said the muscle tone in his upper body is low and the tone in his back is high. Hopefully physical therapy will even that out. That's about all that's new with him. He's still happy as ever.
Here are a couple pictures of him sporting one of his St. Patty's Day ensembles. They are not the greatest. He wasn't feeling cooperative, but you get an idea of what a little Sham Rocker he is.
Apparently, he's channeling his inner old man here.

All about Brendan
Sunday was the first time that Brendan got to have a day that was all about him since Owen was born. We dropped Owen off at Alicia's to play with Maddy for the day and we headed off to Milwaukee to see Yo Gabba Gabba Live. Brendan LOVES all things Yo Gabba Gabba.
We hopped in the car and stopped in Madison for lunch then ventured on to the show. Brendan just chilled out on the ride down.
We were almost late for the show. It started at 2:00 and we pulled into the parking ramp at 1:55. We ran the two blocks to the Riverside Theatre. We got in, got our tickets, and got to our seat with plenty of time to spare. We sat down, Brendan looked around, and told Jeremy "we're in a theatre." We're not sure how he knew what a theatre was. He's never been in one.
Pictures will never show how excited he was. I swear that as soon as he sees a camera he goes into typical Brendan-camera mode. But, he LOVED every minute of the show. He clapped and bopped along.
**on a side note, I think the woman in the background next to Jeremy is ticked off that she can't have another beer. Yes, beer! They served alcohol at a children's show. In the middle of the afternoon! Absurd.**
When the show was done he got to walk the streets of the city.
And go on his first escalator ride, which he thought was pretty cool.
It was a fun day, but he was beat by the time we got to the car.
Here's a brief little video of him throughout the show.

Story time with Brendan
Here are a couple videos of Brendan reading "No No, Yes Yes" to me. You'll probably have to cranked the volume to actually hear him.
