Once you pop you can't stop
The other night Brendan came out and asked for a snack. I asked what he wanted. He said he wanted some "Grandpa chips". What in the world are Grandpa chips?!? I took him over to the cupboard to show me what I wanted. I pointed to tortilla chips. Nope. Pretzels? Nope. BBQ chips? Nope. WHAT THE HECK? He just kept pointing and saying he wanted Grandpa chips. I grabbed a can of Pringles and asked if these were what he wanted. "Yep, that's my Papa!!". He grabbed his handful of chips and left.
Apparently, the Pringles guy looks like my dad?!? He does according to Brendan....

The Debut
Miss Maddy was the flower girl.
During the ceremony, Brendan, Cole, and Maddy were perfect angels. NOT! Owen got the only gold star for the day.
For anyone who hasn't seen the links to a preview of Ashley's pictures on Facebook, click here to see the pictures taken by Dani Stephenson. She did a really good job. We'll post more later.
Thank you, Kathy, for these pictures!!

I Can Do It By Mineself
Close enough.
A little update from my previous post. Dancing Queen, Kennedy, isn't 6. She turned 7 yesterday. Happy Birthday Kennedy!

The Kennedy Way
Last Saturday was my sister’s wedding. Ashley fretted for weeks over the Father/Daughter dance because, frankly, neither she nor my Dad has any rhythm. The star of the show (well, the dance) was not the bride, but an energetic 6 year old with some mad dance skills. Kennedy busted a move all night long. Kennedy is a cousin on the Kennedy side of the family. I think she inherited all of rhythm that skipped Ashley and Alicia. I have to share a video of Kennedy getting down to “Poker Face”.
Now, not to slight the Ahlers family because it’s clear that some of them can move too. Eventually you see a young lad in the background who was cutting a rug all night long. He is an Ahlers boy and can move.

I'm melting...
I haven't had much luck getting this on tape. Brendan went thru a "Wizard of Oz" phase a couple weeks ago. While most kids are terrified by the Wicked Witch, he was intrigued. He even said she was not ugly, she was pretty. Awww...
The other night he was in the shower (after Jeremy got out) and Jeremy told me to go in and listen to him. He was playing Wicked Witch, apparently. He kept saying "I'm melting, I'm melting. What a world...." I ran to get the camera but he would stop when I'd come in. I got just a few seconds of it. You have to listen pretty close to catch it.
