After dinner we tried a teeny tiny ice cream cone. Brendan wasn't quite sure what to think of it at first. I'm not sure we can say he mastered it, but he ate some. Mulder finished up the leftover's for him.
Lately taking a picture is hard because as soon as Brendan sees a camera he says CHEESE and makes his hideous cheese face. The first picture you can tell by his mouth he just finished saying cheese but didn't do the face.
He has a camera he carries around the house holding to his face saying CHEESE for anyone who will pose. Of course, the camera doesn't work but why tell him that?

What a zoo
On St. Patty's Day, I took the day off work and we headed to the Milwaukee Zoo. It was a perfect day since it was 70 degrees. Brendan loved it much more this time. The last couple times we went, he was more interested in people watching than animals.
At each animal, he had to make the sound they did.
At each animal, he had to make the sound they did.
Apparently, the elephant was stinky so he had to shove his fingers up his nose.
He loved the fish aquariums. There were fish in there that were huge. He was amused and confused by that.
We needed a snack break.
Whe we were nearing the end, we let him out of the stroller to stretch his legs and roam free....well, kind of. Call it cruel, but the leash is perfect for him.
Thankfully, he was able to listen to his tunes on the ride home.

The shepherd tends to his flock...
Today we went to a sheep shearing extravaganza. Brendan LOVES animals, but after his reaction to my Grandpa's horses I wasn't sure how this was going to go. By the time we got there is was almost 40 degrees and getting warmer. The sheep shearer was running late so we went to check out the chickens before the festivities started. By the look on his face in this first picture I didn't think this was going to go well.
He quickly spotted the sheep and was raring to go. He squatted down and called for them to come to him. It's beside the point that they were trapped in the barn and couldn't get to him.
We went around to see the sheep up close in the barn. (sorry they look very creepy with the glowing eyes). Brendan went right up to the fence and pet his new friends.
As they were sheared, the were released into the barnyard and Brendan was in HEAVEN. He refused to stay on the nice clean area that was lined with fresh hay. He insisted on trudging thru the mucky, dirty stuff. The sheep wouldn't get close enough for him to touch but they weren't necessarily running from him either. He would wander around randomly making sheep and chicken sounds followed by "E-I-E-I-O".
He tried to feed the chickens and sheep but no one was willing to eat from his hands.
In this video you can hear him telling me that the chickens are EATIN', which is one of he new favorite things.

Move over Michael Jordan
Brendan got a basketball hoop for his birthday. We finally put it up recently. He has hated. He thinks it's amusing when we play but wanted nothing to do with it himself. He finally played with it the other night.
